A user called lenin A “template commercial film with a few interesting twists!” The post said that the initial set-up, which draws parallels to the Mahabharata, was good, but the film soon flopped due to an ineffective love story and familiar commercial beats. The same user said that the film had improved from the pre-interval phase and that some of the later twists worked, but also said that it felt too similar to rural dramas seen before. The user described Thaman’s music as a mixed bag, criticized the song placement and said that Akhil showed improvement and made the film watchable, but not entirely satisfactory.

Another user said that Akhil Akkineni was an actor who stood out, but argued that weak writing kept the film from being a hit. The post wrote that the characters were not developed properly and repeated comparisons with Mahabharata characters only created confusion. The user praised Bhagyashree Borse’s screen presence, said the background score was good, described Sivaji as underused and appreciated the cinematography.

The user also wrote, “Don’t mess with Mahabharata characters if you don’t have a clear understanding of who they are.”

Another user, reacting to the first part, described the film as good and the script as great, saying that there are no unnecessary scenes in the story, but also said that the first two songs were a major letdown. That user also praised Akhil’s acting, while noting that the abuse seems incoherent at places, and appreciated Bhagyashree, Shivaji and Brahmaji.

A fourth user described lenin “As an ambitious commercial entertainer who gets many of his building blocks right but misses the emotional glue needed to elevate them”. The post notes that writer-director Murali Kishore Abburu created a charming rural world, used drama inspired by the Mahabharata and revealed plot points through a planned screenplay.

It added that the romance remained the weakest part, even though the film regained its momentum before the interval and delivered an engaging second half with twists and conflicts. The same user wrote that Thaman’s songs disrupted the narrative, but the background score lifted important scenes, and added that Akhil gave one of his better performances.
