You have to let go: Brother Arjun’s note to bride Anshula is heart touching
After Anshula Kapoor’s marriage with Rohan Thakkar, actor Arjun Kapoor has shared an emotional Instagram post. The note remembered her mother Mona Shourie Kapoor and reflected the family’s sentiments at the wedding.
Arjun Kapoor penned an emotional note for his sister Anshula Kapoor after she married her longtime partner Rohan Thakkar. As the Kapoor family celebrated the wedding, Arjun shared a post on social media and highlighted their bond by remembering his late mother Mona Shourie Kapoor.
Sharing a series of pictures from the celebrations on Instagram, the 41-year-old actor expressed how proud and emotional he felt to see Anshula starting a new chapter in her life.

“For my part, you will always be mine, but now I have to let you go. Today you are starting your new journey with Rohan and my heart, mind and soul are so happy to see you smiling. I have seen you grow up and become such an amazing woman who represents our mother at every step, may you never worry because she is watching over you and blessing you all the time. I am always here, always supporting you and always making sure that smile never goes away. I Love you, your Arjun bhaiya.”
Arjun and Anshula’s mother Mona passed away in 2012 after battling cancer.
Many of the photos that Arjun shared captured the siblings sharing playful moments in their wedding attire. However, one photo was the most emotional. It showed Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar sitting at the wedding altar, with a framed photograph of Mona placed next to them and adorned with a garland of flowers.
For the occasion, Anshula chose an embroidered peach and coral lehenga. She paired it with a shiny golden-beige dupatta and layered polki jewellery. Rohan suited her perfectly in a textured champagne-gold sherwani. She completed her look with a classic silk turban accessorized with a jeweled emerald brooch.
The reception will be held today, July 7, which will also be attended by friends and colleagues from the industry.
Anshula and Rohan got engaged in July 2025. At that time, Anshula had shared pictures from the proposal and wrote how their relationship started. “We started talking at 1:15 a.m. on a Tuesday and ended up talking for hours. Three years later, in my favorite city, in front of the palace in Central Park, he proposed!” He wrote then.
Anshula, daughter of Boney Kapoor and his first wife Mona Shourie Kapoor, was last seen in The Traitors, which streamed on Prime Video.
