Alpha Box Office Day 4: Alia Bhatt’s espionage thriller earns Rs 63 crore globally
Actress Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha maintained a steady pace at the box office on the fourth day, taking its worldwide gross collection to Rs 63.64 crore. Despite a strong opening weekend, the YRF Spy Universe film is performing below expectations.

Despite seeing consistent earnings, the YRF Spy Universe film still hasn’t matched the high expectations attached to the franchise, taking its worldwide earnings to over Rs 63 crore in four days.

According to trade website sacnilc, alfa On the fourth day, it grossed an estimated Rs 3.85 crore from 6,997 shows in India. With this, the total India net collection of the film stands at Rs 37.85 crore, while its India gross stands at Rs 45.34 crore.
Internationally, the action thriller earned Rs 1.50 crore on Monday, taking its overseas collection to Rs 18.30 crore. Its worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 63.64 crore.

Alpha It opened in India on Friday with earnings of Rs 9.25 crore and registered an opening of Rs 16.10 crore worldwide. The film saw growth over the weekend, improving on the collections on Saturday before earning Rs 13.25 crore on Sunday, registering a growth of 15.2 percent over the previous day.
By the end of its opening weekend, the Shiv Rawail directed film had grossed an estimated Rs 34 crore in India and Rs 58.80 crore worldwide.

Despite steady weekend trends, the film’s overall performance has been considered underwhelming for a YRF Spy Universe title, especially considering its wide release across 7,534 screens in India.
The film has also received mixed response from critics. In its review, India Today Evaluation Alpha 2.5 stars, praising Alia Bhatt’s performance as Sita while criticizing the script for its inconsistency.
Part of the review reads, “That inequality becomes AlphaIs the biggest problem. There are many twists and turns in the film and the constant interruptions while getting things done eventually becomes tiring. Instead of creating intrigue, the script focuses more on creating shock value.”
Directed by Shiv Rawail and written by Uday Chopra, Alpha Released in theaters on 3 July. The seventh installment of the YRF spy universe also stars Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Dia Mirza in lead roles.
