Actor Suniel Shetty has revealed that his 15-month-old granddaughter Ivara has developed a daily tradition of welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s picture and giving her a fake gift. A type of sweet Every Morning.
Speaking in a recent interview with Times Now, The 64-year-old actor said the habit started unexpectedly and insisted that no one in the family had encouraged the child to do so.

Sunil shared that actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul’s daughter Ivara now starts her morning with a Sai Baba book with a large picture of the Prime Minister. According to her, she points towards the picture, says “Modi ji, Modi ji”, and then pretends to offer laddus after having darshan of the family’s Ganpati idol.
How did the daily ritual of Ivarah begin?
Recalling how this habit started, Sunil said it started when one of Ivara’s nanny pointed towards the Prime Minister’s photo at an airport and said, “Modi ji.” He said it appeared there was a brief conversation with the child.
The actor revealed that she now opens Sai Baba’s book every morning, recognizes PM Modi’s picture and repeats his name before returning with an imaginary laddu from the Ganpati idol. “There is something about him,” Sunil said, adding that he believed there was “something magical” about the prime minister.
He also stressed that neither he, Athiya, KL Rahul nor Nani had taught Ivara to repeat the ritual. According to the actor, after the initial introduction the family never instructed him to do so.

During the same interview, Sunil reiterated his admiration for Prime Minister Modi, and described himself as a long-time admirer of the leader rather than any political party.
He also recalled his meeting with PM Modi in Ahmedabad around 2010 and said that this conversation left an indelible impression on him. The actor remembers that he was impressed by the Prime Minister’s punctuality, attention and the conversation they shared after the meeting, which he said remained memorable even years later.
