Not Alone: Timothée Chalamet, Selena Gomez unite for Alien film, to release in 2027
Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez will lead an animated film Not Alone. The film will hit theaters in April 2027.
Actor Timothée Chalamet is set to lend his voice to an animated feature for the first time. The 30-year-old actor will star alongside Selena Gomez not aloneA new sci-fi comedy from Illumination, the studio behind blockbuster franchises like despicable me And super mario bros movie.
The project was unveiled at the Annecy Animation Festival, with Illumination confirming not alone Will be released in theaters on 16 April 2027.
Chalamet will voice Joe, an introverted rocket mechanic who prefers a quiet life, while Gomez will play Fran, a brilliant astro-botanist who is developing the world’s first plant-powered rocket.
According to the official synopsis, Joe and Fran meet each other while preparing for the rocket’s first launch. Although sparks keep flying between the two, romance doesn’t come easily for either of them. Their lives take an unexpected turn when three mischievous foreign fugitives – Dunk, Veli and Shirm – take refuge in Joe’s house.
On the run from firm but bumbling Officer Zandro, the trio believe that Fran’s experimental rocket may be their ticket home, setting the stage for a space adventure filled with comedy, chaos, and unlikely friendships.
The alien trio will be voiced by Rob Brydon, Diane Morgan, and Jamie Demetriou, while Brett Goldstein will voice Officer Zandro. The supporting cast also includes Allison Janney and Lamorne Morris.
not alone Will be co-directed by Illumination veteran Eric Guillen, Claire Dodson and Jonathan Del Val. The film is produced by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri, with Joey Poirel, Richard Curtis and David Distenfeld serving as executive producers.
