‘It is with a heavy heart…’: Viral ‘Miracle of Lawyer’ immigration firm closes in Seattle as clients face deportation

Viral immigration lawyer Alexandra Lozano closed shop in Seattle amid fraud allegations as clients faced deportation over fraudulent claims in their green card applications.

Immigration lawyer Alexandra Lozano called herself a “miracle lawyer” as her career progressed and claimed that she decided cases that were impossible to win. The Seattle-based lawyer, now being branded a fraud, was living a lavish life with ‘Abogada’ (Lawyer) written on her private jet. Nine people from Washington filed a lawsuit against Lozano, accusing him of misleading his clients and forcing them to make false statements to immigration authorities. The lawsuit says Lozano advised people to apply for immigration benefits when they were not eligible and made false or misleading statements to immigration authorities. He also submitted documents signed by customers without reviewing them. She filed green card applications with false information, charged excessive fees, initiated immigration procedures she knew were doomed to fail, asked employees to memorize scripts to make misleading promises, and devised legal strategies relying solely on computer programs without her or other attorneys at her firm reviewing the files. Some said Lozano was facing deportation proceedings because of his lies.In the wake of the complaint, Lozano resigned his law license to avoid disciplinary action, but now his firm has also announced that they are closing.
