Weeks after announcing her separation from Sooraj Nambiar, actress Mouni Roy has spoken out about speculations surrounding her personal life, including her sexual orientation. Addressing trolls targeting him, he revealed that the most absurd rumor he had heard about himself was claims that he was “gay”.

Mouni said that her female friends have played an important role in helping her through difficult times. The 40-year-old said, “I’ve always had great girlfriends to support me. They’ve been with me through thick and thin and through thick and thin. It’s so important to have women like that in your life – who lift you up. My girlfriends are the best.”
Mouni, who married Sooraj in 2022 after knowing him for four years, separated from him in 2026. Despite both Mouni and Sooraj issuing statements regarding the same, several theories emerged online as to what led to the separation.
