Teaser of his upcoming crime thriller baby do it die do it It was unveiled on Tuesday, offering a glimpse of a dark past and a mysterious story of a woman carrying a red umbrella.

The 90-second teaser begins with a voiceover of a young girl explaining that the story begins with her death. However, she quickly adds that this story is less about her and more about her deaf-mute sister.

The story then moves forward 15 years, introducing Huma’s character as a sheltered woman who appears to be haunted by the past. In a striking scene, she is seen silently observing strangers from behind a scarf hiding her face, while traveling in a Mumbai local train during the monsoons.

As the teaser unfolds, a group of men make obscenities to her at a late night bus stop, unaware of who she really is. Moments later, she takes out a folded red umbrella, which is revealed to be her weapon of choice. The film then introduces her as “India’s first desi hitwoman”.

The teaser also hints at an ongoing investigation. A police officer is heard urging someone to take action before “she dies”, while Seema Pahwa’s character reveals that the woman in question is more likely to put herself in danger than seek safety.

Even the title of the film seems to give a hint. The phrase “Do Maro” plays on the philosophy of do or die and is rendered in Hindi as “Kar Mar Kar” – a common Maharashtrian surname which may be linked to Huma’s character and her family history.

The teaser comes as Huma plays a new role behind the scenes. He recently launched Salim Siblings with Saqib Saleem, who also co-produced single salma.

The film also marks a new milestone for Huma, who marks her debut as a producer with her brother and actor Saqib Saleem under their banner Saleem Siblings. Set for theatrical release on July 3, baby do it die do it It also stars Seema Pahwa, Chunky Pandey, Sikandar Kher and Vidya Malvade.
