Entrepreneur turned actor Raj Kundra intervened after a female staff member was allegedly abused and threatened by a passenger at the Mumbai airport. According to eyewitnesses and staff member Kalavati Jadhav, the passenger behaved inappropriately, used foul language and demanded that she use the buggy to take him wherever he wanted to go. A case has been registered against the passenger at Sahara police station.

Jadhav said Kundra was at the airport at the time of the incident and he came to the airport after the passenger started creating a ruckus. She said she confronted the man, told him he couldn’t talk to a woman like that and kicked him out of the carriage. Jadhav said that at that time he did not know who had helped him and he later came to know that it was Raj Kundra.

Describing the incident, Jadhav said that the passenger kept shouting at him, tried to scare him and created a scene in front of everyone. He said he acted with a sense of privilege and continued to behave aggressively during negotiations.

Recalling the intervention, Jadhav said, “The passenger kept shouting, scaring me and making a scene in front of everyone. Then, out of nowhere, a Sikh gentleman stepped forward.” He said he firmly told the passenger that his behavior was unacceptable and that he could not speak to a woman that way.

Jadhav said the passenger continued to behave aggressively, following which the person who intervened removed him from the carriage. According to him, the passenger’s T-shirt got torn during the commotion.

She said, “At that moment, I did not know who that person was. I only knew that when I felt helpless and alone, someone stood up for me. Later I came to know that that gentleman was none other than Raj Kundra.”
