Hiramandi star Taha Shah Badusha opens up about meeting his ‘inspiration’ Tom Cruise: ‘I was in complete awe’

Hiramandi: Diamond Bazaar star Taha Shah Badusha was recently in London and got a chance to meet his idol Tom Cruise. The actor first shared a picture on Instagram and wrote,

Taha Shah Badusha talks about meeting Tom Cruise

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, the Heeramandi actor shared his experience of meeting Cruise, “He was sitting on the other end of the line. I was waiting for the film to finish so that I could meet him. And it was so unbelievable how everything fell into place. I was in complete awe. And I couldn’t believe that I was so blessed to meet ‘Tom Cruise'”.

Taha said they talked about movies and what Cruise was shooting in London. I also told him how much of an inspiration he has been to me and thanked him for his legacy.

Expressing his deep admiration for Cruise, the 36-year-old remarked that Cruise’s career has been truly remarkable. He said that Cruise has always been a pioneer and a trailblazer in the world of cinema. He mentioned that films like The Rainman, Magnolia, Jerry Maguire, Top Gun, Mission Impossible and many others have drastically changed his perspective about filmmaking and the art of acting.

He acknowledged that he drew inspiration from Cruise in creating his own filmography, and expressed a desire to be as versatile, experimental, and commercially successful as him.

Taha Shah Badussha on Hiramandi finding love

The actor revealed that he received a lot of appreciation for his previous show Heeramandi and stressed that the love for the show has spread across borders as well. He said that London has showered a lot of love on him and the change is quite evident as people across the city recognise him. He called it a blessing.

He said although he was present at the closing night of the festival where he was honoured, many other opportunities were also available to him.

He said that the festival was extraordinary and he had the opportunity to meet so many incredible artists and understand their perspectives, which were very different.

He further said that it was a great honour to receive the award, as was the honour to visit the House of Lords and Parliament and stand on the same level with some of the world’s greatest leaders.
