Janhvi also revealed that she is learning to assert herself on film sets and speak up when filmmakers or cinematographers shoot her from angles in which she is uncomfortable. Speaking on Raj Shamani’s podcast in April, he said, “I think at any and every stage, it’s important to ask yourself, what did I consent to? The actress further revealed that she is learning to push her boundaries on set, especially when it comes to how she is filmed. Janhvi said that she wanted to be able to object if a photography director placed the camera at an angle that made her uncomfortable, without being labeled as unprofessional.

While she admitted that she has often tried to be polite and carefully choose which battles to fight, Janhvi said she has become more confident about expressing her discomfort while maintaining professionalism and ensuring that her concerns are heard.

During the same conversation, the actor also spoke about how public perception and industry expectations can affect the work he is given.
