Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s family attended Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding a few days ago. However, his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the ceremony separately, leaving many fans surprised.
Abhishek and Aishwarya’s presence at the Ambani wedding has fuelled rumours of their separation. Amid the rumours, the 48-year-old actor’s recent social media activity has fuelled further speculation.
Abhishek Bachchan ‘likes’ Instagram post about divorce
Recently, Abhishek Bachchan liked an Instagram post about divorce. The infographic before it reads, “When love stops being easy…couples who have been married for a long time are now partying. What is the reason behind their decision and why are grey divorces on the rise?”

An excerpt from the post says, “Incidentally, ‘grey divorces’ or ‘silver splitters’ – the term used for those seeking marital divorce after the age of 50 – are on the rise globally. The reasons for this, while varied, are not surprising.”

Abhishek Bachchan along with his father Amitabh Bachchan, mother Jaya Bachchan and sister Shweta Bachchan arrived at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding at Jio Convention Centre in Mumbai on July 12. Shweta’s husband Nikhil Nanda and children Agastya Nanda and Navya Naveli Nanda were also spotted there.
Abhishek posed for pictures with everyone, however, his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya were not with the family. Meanwhile, the former beauty queen arrived with Aaradhya and the two were clicked together by the paparazzi.
On July 13, Big B attended the Shubh Aashirwad ceremony with his granddaughter Navya Nanda. Aishwarya was spotted with Aaradhya at the event. Unlike Abhishek and Aishwarya seen separately, the two were seen sitting together in the inside shots of the Ambani wedding.
Abhishek Bachchan married Aishwarya Rai on 20 April 2007.
