Alia Bhatt’s Alpha gets new release date, releases a week earlier than planned
Alpha starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh has been shifted from July 10 to July 3. This change after the date change of Dhamaal 4 clearly reflects the YRF spy universe film.
Alia Bhatt-Sharvari Wagh’s much-awaited action entertainer Alpha will now hit the theaters a week ahead of its original schedule. After changing the release date of Dhamaal 4 to 17th July, the release date of the film has been increased from 10th July to 3rd July.
A source close to the development told India Today that producer Aditya Chopra saw an opportunity in the relatively open release window and decided to push the release. He is very confident about the film and wants it to have a good breathing space.

The source said, “Alpha has already seen a lot of delays, and the studio wanted to give it a grand release. The film is highly anticipated by fans so far, with social media chatters increasing the buzz. With no major releases planned for July 3, the makers felt this was the right date to release the film.”
It’s also worth noting that this move may also work in Alpha’s favor at the box office, as the film will now have a two-week window to make the most of the opening. Additionally, it may also benefit from offering a different genre, as Alpha will come between two comedies – Welcome to the Jungle (June 26) and Dhamaal 4.
Part of the YRF spy universe, Alpha also stars Bobby Deol.
