Jana Naygan’s director on film delay: I don’t have the courage to reveal the truth

When asked about the long-delayed film at a recent promotional event, the filmmaker responded with a cryptic comment, saying he didn’t have the “courage” to reveal what happened behind the scenes.

His reaction brought laughter from everyone present on the stage, including Ranjeet and Santosh, but it also fueled speculations about the film’s long delay.

However, producer Venkat K Narayan of KVN Productions has indicated that the film has not received CBFC certification yet.
Tamil Nadu Film Technology and Cinematograph Act Minister Rajmohan Arumugam also addressed the issue recently. He said that the film can be released only after receiving censor certification and stressed that if all the legal requirements are met then no film can be delayed due to political or external reasons.

However, its release was postponed after certification complications reportedly arose at the last minute. Following objections from a member of the screening committee, the film was sent to the vetting committee, further delaying the process.
Producer Venkat K Narayana later approached the court for relief, but the matter remained unresolved. In another blow, parts of the film surfaced online in April, leading to several arrests.
