Actor Ranveer Singh was spotted at the airport on Tuesday, a day after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees imposed a non-cooperation order against him over his alleged exit from Don 3. As the controversy surrounding the film continued, the actor avoided any interaction with photographers.
FWICE announced the move at a press conference on Monday. It said its members should not cooperate with Singh until the dispute is resolved. According to reports, the actor walked out shortly before the shooting began, following which the organization also supported the producers’ demand for reimbursement of alleged pre-production losses of Rs 45 crore.

In a video from the airport, Singh was seen entering the premises in white kurta pajama with a black overcoat. He covered his face with a mask and sunglasses. He did not stop speaking, even as the paparazzi called him and hailed “Baba”.
FWICE’s stance and complaint
According to FWICE, Excel Entertainment filed the complaint in April and said that Singh had signed a three-film contract with the banner. The federation said the producers also demanded compensation for the huge pre-production expenses incurred before the actor’s alleged exit.
FWICE said it had tried to mediate the issue. However, it was claimed that Singh refused to discuss the matter with the federation, saying it required a “proper” forum. Nevertheless, the organization said it was open to further talks.
FWICE, in its statement, said the film industry functions as an extended family and artistes, technicians, workers, producers and directors are bound by mutual trust, professional commitments, respect and collective responsibility. It said sudden exits from projects by senior and established actors at critical stages pose a serious threat to the stability and working ecology of the entertainment industry.

In an official statement, Singh’s spokesperson said that the actor has deliberately chosen to remain silent on the issue. The statement said professional discussions and personal equations were best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect.
The spokesperson said Singh has the utmost respect for the film fraternity and everyone associated with the Don franchise. The statement said that although many narratives and speculations have emerged, it did not find it necessary to respond publicly or contribute to speculation. It added that he wants the franchise to continue to be successful and will not discuss the matter in the media.
The film remains under investigation
