David Dhawan gets emotional at the trailer launch event of If you are young then you have to fall in love. Talking about son Varun Dhawan and remembering the time when the actor stayed by his side during a major health crisis. The filmmaker had tears in his eyes while praising Varun not only as an actor but also as a son.

Speaking to the media at the event, David said, “In the hospital, he used to sleep with me when I was there, what more do you want? As an actor, he is improving, he can deliver whenever you want, but as a father, if I tell you everyone should have a son like Varun.”

As David became emotional on stage, Varun was also seen crying while trying to console his father.

In 2022, David Dhawan was admitted to the hospital after suffering from a serious health issue related to diabetes. The filmmaker, who has advanced stage diabetes, reportedly spent a week in hospital before returning home.

If you are young then you have to fall in love. This is the fourth collaboration between David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan. The upcoming entertainer revolves around romance, misunderstandings and comic chaos within the family setup.

The film also stars Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, Jimmy Shergill, Chunky Pandey, Mouni Roy, Ali Asgar and Rakesh Bedi in lead roles.

The trailer hints at Varun Dhawan’s character being caught in a chaotic love triangle involving his ex-boyfriend and a new romantic interest. One of the comic highlights teased in the trailer revolves around an accidental pregnancy confession involving the characters played by Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur.
