Rakul’s character is a sigma; perhaps, she is a proper alpha. And so, I think that is the beauty of the film, that it is not male-centric. I think the characters and roles are equally divided.”

That’s the basic memory I have. And geysers were a luxury at that time, so even in cold winters, I have taken bath with it cold water (cold water).

While audiences inevitably compared him not only to Sanjeev Kumar but also to Kartik Aaryan, who headlined the 2019 adaptation, Ayushmann appeared remarkably surprised. For him, this is less a remake and more an expanded cinematic universe of confused husbands.

“I guess it’s not a comparison. It’s like we’re taking it further. It’s like Husband Universe of (universe of husbands). Like we have a detective universe, we have a horror universe, but we have more than 40 crore husbands in India for whom there is no universe. So it’s just that universe, and we’re just taking it forward,” he said.
