Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 2 Brief Description
Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 2, titled ‘The Telephone Game’, begins with memories of the day of Tokyo Blade’s initial meeting. Aqua and Kana arrive at the stage play’s filming building, where they meet Melt. Melt, happy to work with them again, promises that he has improved since his performance in Sweet Today.
Raida introduces himself, Kindaichi, and the other cast members to the three. Akane approaches Aqua and offers assistance due to her appreciation for theater, while Melt and Kana comment on Aqua and Akane’s relationship and their Tokyo Blade roles. Later, Melt and Kana discuss Sweet Today.
Melt wishes Kana was more critical of her, which would have made her realize her shortcomings sooner. Determined to improve herself, Melt vows to do better at Tokyo Blade. Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 2 then runs into Abiko and Yoriko at a restaurant. Abiko asks for advice from Yoriko, who has experience adapting her stories into other media.
Abiko asks Yoriko to accompany her to Tokyo Blade rehearsals, and Yoriko agrees. Returning to the present, Abiko demands significant changes to the script from Raida, expressing disappointment that previous revisions were not implemented. Goa apologizes and asks for specific changes, leading to a heated argument in which Abiko accuses her of not understanding Tokyo Blade.
Raida stops their arguing, and Yoriko describes the many different aspects of adapting works, and how it often comes with a need for compromise. After some initial resistance, Abiko agrees to judge the script based on the actors’ performances, but demands that Gowa no Oshi be removed from the project in Season 2 Episode 2.
Later, Goa, despite being willing to comply, does not want credit for the revised script. He asks to be removed from the credits. Raida tells Goa that his contribution was nothing, but insists on the need for the requested changes. Rehearsals are halted until the revised script is complete.
Akane discusses the situation with Mei Adashino, which Aqua overhears and asks what the ‘Stage Around’ play means. Surprised by her unfamiliarity, Akane invites Aqua to attend the Stage Around play with her. Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 2 Stage Around ends at the Tokyo building where the play is about to begin.
