Actor Ajith Kumar celebrated his 55th birthday on May 1 and received wishes from across the film industry, including heartfelt notes from Vivek Oberoi and filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran. Vivek Oberoi remembers Ajit’s warmth

Marking the occasion, Vivek shared a throwback picture from his 2017 film vivegam and described Ajith as a “humble superstar” and a “wonderful human being”. Recalling their first meeting during the Bulgaria schedule of the 2017 film directed by Siva, Vivek wrote that Ajith’s gesture left a lasting impression.

“Today we celebrate a humble superstar and a wonderful human being. When I first met Ajith Anna we were shooting in the bitter cold of Bulgaria. He not only welcomed me with his quintessential and polite ‘Vivek ji’, he immediately poured me a cup of tea. ‘It’s so cold, it will keep you warm,’ he said before pouring the cup himself for my entire crew,” Vivek wrote.

Vivek said that Ajit’s warmth extended beyond that first conversation. During the shooting, when the team was missing the food at home, the actor himself went to the kitchen.

She wrote, “Realizing that we were all missing the taste of home, he walked into the kitchen and cooked for the entire team. He could have easily ordered the food, but instead he decided to put hours of care into something we will never forget. Such is the caliber of that man.”
