Watch: This unique ‘flower butter’ is being loved by food lovers

Must read

Butter is a staple ingredient in kitchens across the world. From cakes to burgers, it is used in many of our favourite dishes. In any supermarket, we can find many types of butter such as salted, sweet cream, clarified, organic, plant-based and grass-fed. But have you ever heard of flower butter? If not, you should check out a video that is doing the rounds on the internet. In the clip, a woman walks us through all the steps of making this unique type of butter. Surprisingly, the creation is being loved by the internet and positive feedback is being posted.
The process begins with taking two blocks of softened butter and mixing them with lemon zest until a creamy consistency is achieved. The butter is then wrapped in parchment paper and placed in the fridge to solidify. Next, another sheet of parchment paper is taken, and edible flowers and herbs are spread on it. Once the sheet is completely covered with flowers, the chilled cylinder-shaped butter is taken out of the fridge and wrapped between the flowers. The butter, now wrapped in parchment paper, goes back into the refrigerator to cool. Once cooled, the flower butter is scooped out and eaten with a piece of bread.

One user wrote, “I’m finishing wrapping a small piece of Costco’s imported Greek goat cheese in rose petals, lavender flowers and some yellow flowers. Super cute! Perfection!” Another added, “This is so pretty and we’re making fresh butter after milking the cows and I want to make this and an herbal butter too!” “Beautiful! And the butter is so easy to make: whip heavy cream until it separates the solids from the liquid. Add a little salt and you’re done. Save the liquid for other recipes,” one comment read. One person added, “OMG this would be so healthy with a bunch of dandelions! So good!” Someone else commented, “This idea is so great for a gift.”
