Bhoot Bangla performed well overseas in its second weekend and collected around US$1.10 million. The decline in its opening weekend without any previews was 56 percent. This takes its total overseas box office collection to over US$4.80 million. Combined with Rs. 131 crore from India, the worldwide box office of the Akshay Kumar starrer horror-comedy stands at Rs. 176 crores. The film is on its way to reach Rs.1 crore. It crossed the 200 crore mark worldwide in its entire run.
The best performances have come from Australia and New Zealand, usually with Akshay Kumar entertainers. In Australia, the film dropped only 30 percent from its opening weekend, which is a spectacular hold. In Fiji, which has been reported along with New Zealand, the film is the biggest Indian film of the year, well ahead of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and is on track to enter the top five highest-grossing films of all time in the market. Notably, this is the region where Housefull 4 is the second highest-grossing film of all time, and a film like Total Dhamaal is in the top five, which shows how well comedy performs here.
In terms of the film, all other markets have also performed well. UAE-GCC leads the top market with approximately US$1.35 million. Overall, the film is on track to gross over US$6 million overseas, and in doing so, has a strong chance of surpassing Housefull 5.
