Oppo unveiled its latest tablet entries with the Pad 5 Pro and Pad Mini. The Pad 5 Pro is Oppo’s flagship slate with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 13.2-inch LCD, and a massive 13,380mAh battery with 67W charging. The Pad Mini is a more compact version with an 8.8-inch AMOLED, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (non-Elite), and an 8,000 mAh cell with the same charging speeds as the Pad 5 Pro.

The Pad 5 Pro is the logical successor to last year’s Pad 4 Pro, which eventually made its way internationally as the OnePlus Pad 3, and it looks like we’ll soon see a similar scenario with the upcoming OnePlus Pad 4.

Going back to the Pad 5 Pro, it brings Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The Pad 5 Pro is built around a 13.2″ display with a 3,392 x 2,400px resolution, 7:5 aspect ratio, and a 30-144Hz adaptive refresh rate. Oppo claims it can produce up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness with Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid support.

You get stylus support via the optional Oppo Pencil 3, and you can also opt for a magnetic floating keyboard for added productivity. Oppo is also offering an optional matte display version.

Oppo has added an eight-speaker setup with dual microphones for excellent voice pickup. The camera department is unchanged from last year, with a 13MP rear shooter and an 8MP front-facing sensor.

This year you’ll get a larger 13,380 mAh battery, which still sports 67W charging. You’ll also get ColorOS 16 along with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity, along with Android 16.

If you’re the type of user who doesn’t want to carry around a 10″+ tablet, Oppo’s Pad Mini is the latest compact Android tablet to tempt you. It features an 8.8-inch AMOLED with a 2,520×1,680 px resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, and a 60-144Hz adaptive refresh rate. It has 2.99mm thick bezels and a front-facing 8MP The camera is integrated. Like the Pad 5 Pro, Oppo is offering a matte display version.

Under the hood, the Oppo Pad Mini brings a non-elite Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. There is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash.

Both tablets are available on Oppo’s official online store in China, with the first sale scheduled for April 24.
