Directed by Nitish Tiwari and starring actor Ranbir Kapoor, the film promises to present a visual spectacle with state-of-the-art VFX and sound design.

Insights from CinemaCon 2026

Fithian shared that during CinemaCon 2026, major theatrical exhibition companies from around the world participated in private screenings of film clips featuring advanced technologies and special effects.

“After watching those conversations, I can now predict Ramayana (in two parts) will become the first ever Indian global theatrical blockbuster,” he wrote in a LinkedIn post.

There is a stir in the industry regarding the great work

A YouTube creator from the channel Mister Like It Or Not Lately The visuals have been described as both gorgeous and intense, combining mythological storytelling with fantasy elements. The producer anticipated that the film could perform successfully at international awards, including the Oscars, and hinted at Warner Bros. potentially handling its global distribution.

He added, “I’m pretty sure they’ll push for some Academy Awards in different categories, especially a nomination for International Feature Film. It’s going to fit into that particular genre.”

Ramayana It has been set up at an estimated budget of around Rs 4,000 crore. Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Lord Ram in the film, along with Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Laxman.

Planned as a two-part saga, the film is scheduled to release during Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027.
