Gulshan Kumar’s younger brother Darshan Kumar died in Delhi on April 18 at the age of 70, leaving a quiet but lasting mark on India’s music industry.

The news was shared by singer Mika Singh on social media, following which members of the music fraternity and fans alike paid tribute. Many remembered Darshan Kumar for his support to emerging talent and his role behind the scenes at T-Series.

In an Instagram post, Mika Singh paid tribute to Kumar, remembering his generosity and encouragement towards artistes. He wrote, “Just heard the heartbreaking news that Darshan Kumar ji has left us with his beautiful memories. He was truly a great man and was always helpful. He launched and supported many singers and gave opportunities to countless talents. May Mata Rani bless his soul and give him eternal peace. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti.”
