Actress Alia Bhatt’s sister Shaheen announced her engagement to fitness instructor Ishaan Mehra. The two updated about their relationship in a joint social media post.

Shaheen and Ishaan’s Instagram post reads, “Maybe we have gone too far in liking each other’s stuff.” In the pictures clicked from a garden, Shaheen can be seen flaunting her engagement ring in front of the camera.

Shaheen’s mother, actor Soni Razdan expressed her happiness in the comments section and wrote, “Congratulations my dear my (heart emoji) pieces.”

Alia’s mother-in-law, actor Neetu Kapoor commented, “Congratulations, love and blessings (heart and bad luck emojis).”

Actress Ananya Panday commented, “Shaheen! So happy for you…(heart emoji)…all the love and happiness in the world (heart and ominous emoji)…all the best…(sic).” Actress Neena Gupta wrote, “Wow, congratulations dear Shaheen.”

Actress Shanaya Kapoor wrote, “Congratulations!!!” Designer-actress Masaba Gupta commented, “Tannanna for the win! Congratulations guys, love you.”

Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar added heart emojis to her caption: “Congo and Bongo (sic).”

Shaheen is the elder daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actor Soni Razdan. Her younger sister Alia started her acting career with Karan Johar’s film student of the year (2012).

Alia’s last theater release was director Vasan Bala’s liver (2024). She is married to actor Ranbir Kapoor and the couple will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film love and war (2027). The couple also have a three-year-old daughter named Raha.

Shaheen is a screenwriter and mental health advocate. As the founder of the mental health awareness initiative “Here Comes the Sun”, he has taken active steps to create a supportive community for people dealing with mental health challenges.

Shaheen’s fiance Ishaan is a sports and fitness coach, who conducts both online and offline classes.
