ExtraEmily viewboating incident Turnt up
The ExtraEmily viewbotting controversy began on April 16, 2026, when a clip of their Just Chatting livestream began circulating on social media. In the video, she was accidentally displaying her browser tabs while navigating to her Discord serverA website labeled “ViewBot.ai” appeared in a tab, after which the clip spread like wildfire. Viewers later began speculating that the streamer was using a paid service to artificially inflate its numbers. The discussion quickly began to spread in Reddit’s r/LivestreamFail community, where users debated the validity of the claims. The moderator of the subreddit deleted the related discussion thread, stating that the website’s presence could be explained by the redirect. They additionally confirmed through their own testing that the website ExtraEmily was visiting, i.e., 67speed.com, contained a pop-up that redirected to a viewbotting site.Still, not everyone was convinced by this explanation, and some users contested the moderators’ reasoning. A Reddit user named u/lucky-gecko added the following: “Mods keep deleting posts about this, claiming it’s a pop-up ad from the 67speed.com website. This is false. For one, the Viewbot website is an incognito window (grey/black top border). Someone even complained to the creator of the website, they denied that there are any pop-up ads on the website, only embedded share/cute ads.Fellow streamer Mizkif also addressed the allegations during one of his streams. He expressed suspicion that viewboating had taken place. The streamer further stated that they found no evidence of artificial inflation based on the viewership figures typically seen by ExtraEmily.
