Bhoot Bangla is now running in theaters with its paid previews. The film has registered good advance sales at the box office. As of 9 pm (Thursday), the horror comedy drama sold around 72,000 tickets across the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, on the opening day and paid previews. Of this, the advance for the preview was around Rs 40,000 and Rs 32,000 for Friday. By midnight, the final gain for Friday is expected to be around 42,000.
This is an improvement over Akshay Kumar’s previous release, Jolly LLB 3, but less than Housefull 5. Based on current trends, Bhoot Bangla is expected to open in double digits at the box office. The opening day appears to be in line with Pinkvilla Predicts’ forecast of Rs. 12 crore to Rs. Which also includes Rs 16 crore. 2 Crore to Rs. 3 crore paid previews.
Directed by Priyadarshan, the horror comedy is being released in over 3200 screens across the country. All eyes are now on its word of mouth. If Bhoot Bangla succeeds in impressing the audience, it will see an immediate increase in sales.
So far, 2026 has been fruitful for the Hindi film industry, with Dhurandhar: The Revenge emerging as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in India. Before Ranveer Singh’s film, it was Border 2, which did good business and turned out to be a clean hit venture. And then, there was Mardaani 3 and The Kerala Story 2, which did quite good business at the box office. Although they weren’t massive hits or anything, their results were definitely positive. If Bhoot Bangla does well, it will be another chance at hand. Some other small and medium scale films are going to be released next month. Hope Bhoot Bangla and those movies continue the positive trend.
