Ken Karunas’ comedy drama, Youth, ended its entire theatrical run at the box office. The Tamil film made Rs. Earned Rs. 28.75 crores in the first week, then Rs. 11 crores in the second week. Since then, it has added about Rs. Can join. 9-10 crores in the tally, taking the entire theatrical expenditure to Rs. Earning Rs 54.50 crore at the Indian box office.
Since the film is set to release on OTT platforms this weekend, the youth will skip the theatres. The Ken Karunas starrer emerged as a clean hit venture at the box office, earning Rs. Rs 46 crore is coming from Tamil Nadu alone.
The film also found some audiences outside its borders. This amounts to approximately Rs. meet. Rs 4 crore from Karnataka. 3.25 crore from Telugu states, and around Rs. Rs 1.25 crore from rest of the Indian markets.
For those unaware, Youth is the latest successful film of Tamil cinema, after the impressive theatrical performances of With Love and Thai Kizhavi. All three worked completely on the content, because none of them had any star face associated with it. It will be interesting to see which upcoming Tamil film he will be associated with.
