Bhoot Bangla Advance Booking: Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer sells around 11,000 tickets on first day at national chains

Bhoot Bangla starring Akshay Kumar in the lead alongside Vamika Gabbi, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar, Jisoo Sengupta, Late Asrani and others is set to release in theaters soon. Advance booking opened on Tuesday morning, two days before its paid preview, and early reports are quite encouraging.

As of April 14 (midnight), the horror comedy sold around 10,700 tickets including paid previews and opening day across the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis. Of this, around 8700 tickets were sold at PVR Inox, while Cinepolis sold around 2000 tickets. Talking about Friday alone, the film recorded approx. 9000 tickets so far.

This is a good start. However, Akshay Kumar’s film needs to perform better than yesterday to register promising sales. For those who don’t know, Bhoot Bangla payday will be available from 9PM on Thursday, a night before its full release.

How far it goes in pre-booking will depend on Wednesday’s surge. Since this Priyadarshan directed film has a good buzz among the audience, it should see better momentum with each passing hour.

According to Pinkvilla Predicts, the Akshay Kumar starrer horror-comedy is looking to open in the range of Rs. 12 crore to Rs. Including Rs 16 crore. 2 crore to 3 crore paid preview. The fate of Bhoot Bangla will depend on its oral statement. If it succeeds in impressing the audience, the horror comedy’s collection will see an immediate rise.
