Watch: Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ gets appreciation from the Academy
A clip from Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s much-loved film ‘3 Idiots’ recently appeared on The Academy’s official social media handle. Fans reacted to it and said that the film deserves an Oscar.
Recently, the official handle of The Academy got Indian fans excited by posting a clip from Aamir Khan’s movie 3 Idiots. The caption of the video read, “Rancho’s presence of mind was 100% here.” Fans commented that 3 Idiots should have won the Oscar.
One user wrote, “Honestly this movie deserves an Oscar, much better than Hollywood movies.” Another fan wrote, “Had to double check the account ID.”

In the said clip, we see Aamir Khan’s character Ranchho cheating the exam invigilator.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, 3 Idiots became a huge success upon its release. The film, which centers around three college-going engineering students, starred Sharman Joshi, R Madhavan and Aamir Khan in lead roles.
The film is said to be adapted from Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone. Apart from the male leads, the film also featured Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh and Boman Irani in key roles. The film was produced by Vinod Chopra Films.
