Malaika Arora’s latest workout video on weighted workouts is the perfect start to the perfect waistline
Malaika Arora’s commitment to fitness is no exception. From yoga to weight training, she believes in combining workouts to stay fit and fab. In her “Mid-Week Motivation” video, Malaika showcased three deep-core exercises to tone the waist. She began the drill by doing dumbbell rotations. Her legs and shoulders were wide apart while moving the dumbbell in a uniform motion from one hand to the other. She then did weighted high knees. Malaika held the dumbbells above her head, kept her arms straight and brought her knees closer to her chest one by one. Her final belly reduction workout was weighted lateral squats, where she put tension on her legs while bringing the dumbbells up and down in a motion

According to Malaika, these core aerobics help strengthen the deep core and pelvic floor muscles. “These exercises are harder than they look, but they are much more effective,” she wrote in the caption. Other benefits of core-strengthening workouts are improved posture, stability and balance, as well as lower back stability, reduced back pain and a lower risk of injuries.
Earlier, Malaika told us ways to reduce shoulder and upper back pain. On Instagram, the fitness enthusiast was seen keeping her back straight and chest out. She held the end of a stick in one hand and rested it on her back. Next, she held the other end with the other hand and repeated this activity by changing positions. Malaika ensured that her elbows were close to the body. Known as shoulder mobility exercises, it aids in daily functioning and pain-free movement. It can improve flexibility and range of motion, reduce tension around the muscles, and prevent injury.
