In an interview with Baradwaj Rangan on Galatta Plus, Akshay said, “There are many things in the film that I can relate to. This character lost his father and the trauma he went through. When that scene was happening, to be honest I went into that kind of shock, remembering how I lost my father. I don’t use glycerine to cry; I use my emotions to cry. When you watch the film, you will see that I am actually crying because I have gone into that mood.”

He further added, “There were many times when Sudha Kongara Prasad (‘Sarfira’ director) would say ‘cut’ and my head would still be down, because I was still crying. It is not easy to come out of that feeling. I had gone too far, and I know in my mind that she has said ‘cut’, but it is very difficult to bring it back (to reality). I used to request her to take long shots because then I would live with that feeling. You go away from that feeling, and you have to come back again. It becomes very difficult. Sudha was so kind that she used two-three cameras.”

‘Sarfira’ has been released in theaters today i.e. on 12th July 2024. The story is about a man who aims to create affordable airlines for low-income people. This film is a Hindi remake of Surya’s ‘Soorarai Pottru’. Radhika Madan is also in an important role in it.
