Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (1.9 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd (1.67 per cent), JB Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd (1.66 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd (1.02 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd (0.68 per cent) ended the day as the top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Laurus Labs Ltd. (down 1.73 percent), Abbott India Ltd. (1.3 percent), Lupine Ltd. (1.08 percent), Biocon Ltd. (down 1.08 percent) and Gland Pharma Ltd. .(down 0.97 percent) ended as the day’s top losers.
The Nifty Pharma index closed up 0.05 percent at 20612.65.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index rose 186.21 points to close at 24502.15, while the BSE Sensex rose 622.0 points to 80519.34.
Of the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 closed in the green and 16 in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, IRFC, Indian Renewable, Yes Bank and IFCI were among the most traded stocks on the NSE.
Shares of AMJ Land Holdings, Railtel Corp, HPL Electric Power, IFCI and Cantabile Retail touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while JP Associates, Secure Credentials, Praxis Home Retail, Sarthak Metals and GIR Natureview hit fresh 52-week highs. . low
