Recently Thalapathy Vijay reached Nellai, Tamil Nadu to deliver a speech. During his address, he reacted to the ongoing controversy regarding his alleged divorce from his wife. Sangeetha Sornalingam.
Speaking at the event, the actor said, “Some people are wondering what I want to do next, and they have tried to use some people around me. They waited…After so many years, they have spread a rumor, which you all are clearly aware of.”
The superstar further said, “Even that rumor had no impact on the common people. No matter how many trials and tribulations you put me through, you cannot separate me from my people.”
For those unaware, reports suggest that Vijay and Sangeetha Sornalingam are headed towards divorce. The couple, who tied the knot in 1999, are rumored to be separating after a divorce petition was reportedly filed in the court.
According to multiple reports, the petition reportedly claims that the superstar has abandoned his wife and children and accuses him of abandonment. It also alleged that the actor was involved in an extramarital affair with an actress.
While such rumors have been circulating, some reports have also suggested Trisha Krishnan And Vijay were in a relationship and were seen together on several occasions. However, none of the actors have responded to these claims.

However, due to the delay in obtaining certification from the Central Board of Film Certification, the film’s release is in limbo.
Apart from Vijay, the film also stars Bobby Deol, Mamita Baiju and Pooja Hegde in lead roles.
