Edward Bluemel, who stunned audiences with his performance in the Prime Video series My Lady Jane, has been roped in for Agatha Christie’s series, The Seven Dials Mystery. Chris Sweeney will direct the adaptation and serve as an executive producer. Earlier, Variety’s report suggested that the Killing Eve actor has his fill of shows, especially since the TV star starred in the hit show alongside Emily Bader.
The show My Lady Jane which airs on Prime Video has got the audience excited for the lead characters as they share great on-screen chemistry with an interesting storyline for the viewers to enjoy.
What will the adaptation of Agatha Christie’s The Seven Dials Mystery be about?
According to media reports, the setting of the Seven Dials Mystery adaptation will be 1925, with a posh family hosting a party at home. A prank played by a character during the celebration will lead to the death of one of the group members.
According to the IMDB synopsis, “In 1925, a country house party prank turns deadly. Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent investigates a horrific murder plot. Lady Caterham and Superintendent Battle help solve a country house mystery that changes Bundle’s life.”
Talking about the cast of the show, Mia McKenna Bruce, Martin Freeman and Helena Bonham Carter will be in the lead roles. The Crown’s showrunner Susan Mackie and Chris Sussman will be the executive producers of this series under the banner of Orchid Pictures and Good Omens respectively. Chris Chibnall will also be involved in this project as an executive producer.
Speaking about the Netflix show, the show’s creators expressed their excitement about working with the cast. Mackie claimed, “I’m excited to bring The Seven Dials Mystery to life and introduce a new generation of Christie’s iconic characters to the screen.”

Edward Bluemel’s Upcoming Projects
Edward Bluemel has several projects lined up including the Hulu series Washington Black, in which the actor will star alongside Sterling K. Brown. Other projects include the BBC drama We Might Regret This.
As for his role in My Lady Jane, Bluemel played the character of Lord Guildford Dudley, who also plays the lover of Lady Jane, played by Bader.
The logline for the Prime Video series reads, “Lady Jane Grey and her husband Guildford live during the reign of Henry VIII’s son Edward. She unexpectedly finds herself crowned queen overnight and becomes the target of criminals who want her throne and her head.”
