Nivin Pauly rejects comparisons with Mohanlal: ‘He is unique’

Nivin Pauly is gearing up for the release of his next film, Pratichhaya, directed by Unnikrishnan B. Ahead of the release of the political thriller, the actor was seen interacting with several media outlets, where he reacted to the comparisons made by the audience between him and superstar Mohanlal.

As quoted by India Today, Nivin Pauly Rejected any comparison between him and Mohanlal. The actor said, “Laletan is Laletan; he is unique. I follow my directors’ guidance and work comfortably. It takes me a few days on the set to understand the director’s vision, after which I mold my performance accordingly. Once that happens, I don’t stress much.”

Along with Nivin Pauly in the lead role, the film also stars Sharaf U Dheen, Balachandra Menon, Harishree Ashokan, Maniyanpila Raju, Ann Augustine, Sai Kumar, Nishant Sagar, Neethu Krishna, Sabita Anand and others in lead roles.

Directed by Unnikrishnan B, the film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sri Gokulam Movies, along with RD Illumination LLP. The film’s music and background score is composed by Justin Varghese, while Chandru Selvaraj handles the cinematography, and Manoj serves as the editor.

Mohanlal and Nivin Pauly’s workfront

Mohanlal Jeethu is set to be seen on the big screen in Drishyam 3 directed by Joseph. The film was initially scheduled to be released on April 2, 2026, but was later postponed to May 21, 2026, coinciding with Laleton’s birthday.

The actor is currently shooting for his next project, tentatively titled L366, directed by Tharun Murthy. Additionally, he is expected to play cameo roles in Jailer 2, Caliphate: Part 1, and others.

On the other hand, Nivin Pauly has several films lined up for release, including Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, Dear Students and Benz.
