Apple is set to launch its iPhone 16 series in September, so it is expected that its demand will increase due to iOS 18. According to current reports, Apple is aiming to increase the shipping of iPhone 16 devices by 10 percent compared to last year.
The Apple iPhone 16 series is set to launch globally in September. During WWDC 2024, the tech giant announced that the iPhone 16 series will bring a software update, iOS 18. This update will revamp several key features of the device. Since the iPhone 16 series will bring extensive changes, reports claim that Apple is looking at high demand among buyers. According to a new report, Apple is preparing 90 million units of the iPhone 16 device for 2024 alone. Compared to the production of the iPhone 15 series last year, the production will see a 10 percent increase.
A report published in BloombergApple expects its Apple Intelligence feature to drive demand for the new iPhone 16 series, potentially leading to a successful 2024 launch, especially in markets like China. However, Apple is trying to catch up with Chinese smartphone makers like Xiaomi and Huawei, which have already integrated AI capabilities into their devices, giving them an edge in the AI race.
While the tech giant has bet on Apple Intelligence for the iPhone 16 series, it is interesting to note that it may not fully roll out in September. Bloomberg The report says that the new Siri with Apple Intelligence will be released only in 2025 and not before that. Its beta version will come for testing in January.
iPhone 16: Apple Intelligence
Apple Intelligence will offer writing tools to help users rewrite, proofread, and summarize text in Mail, Notes, Pages, and third-party apps. The Rewrite feature will offer different versions of the text, adjusting the tone as needed. There’s also a Proofread feature that will help check grammar and structure, suggesting edits. The Summarize option can collapse long text into concise formats like bulleted lists or tables.
In another Apple Intelligence feature, users can highlight important emails at the top of the inbox. Users can preview a summary instead of the first few lines, making it easier to handle long threads. Smart Reply provides quick response suggestions, ensuring comprehensive replies.
Apple has also introduced the Zenmoji feature that will allow users to create custom emojis by writing a description. These can represent friends and family based on photos and can be used as stickers or reactions in Messages, enhancing communication.
All these features are expected to arrive globally with the launch of the iPhone 16 series in September. However, some new updates, which were mentioned during the WWDC 2024 event, will have to wait a little longer. Apple discussed how the new Siri will be able to control all features within apps for the first time. For example, with the help of AI, Siri will be able to open different documents, move a note to another folder, send or delete emails, open a particular publication in Apple News, email a web link, or even ask the device for a summary of an article. But these updates won’t arrive before 2025.
