Pawan Kalyan is all set to return to theaters tomorrow on March 19, 2026 with Ustad Bhagat Singh. The Telugu action drama directed by Harish Shankar saw disappointing pre-sales in North America, which is considered the home turf of Telugu stars.
The film grossed approximately US$291K at its US premiere, selling approximately 13,000 tickets in over 1100 shows at 430 venues. The day before its premiere, the North American premiere total reached US$320K. It is poised to reach closer to US$450K to US$500K, which is nothing short of a disappointing figure for a Pawan Kalyan film.
Including the premiere in North America, Ustad Bhagat Singh’s first day earnings are US$350K i.e. Rs. Has exceeded. Earning of Rs 3.23 crore. Pre-sales for the opening weekend are close to US$400K. The total overseas advance sales of Pawan Kalyan film has crossed US$500K (Rs 4.62 crore) for the opening day and premiere.
There are a few hours to the premiere of the film. It will be interesting to see how much more it adds to its final numbers. For those unaware, Ustad Bhagat Singh stars Srileela, Raashi Khanna, R. Parthiban, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, BS Avinash, Gautami, Chammak Chandra and others also star in lead roles.
It is clashing with the Bollywood film Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge at the box office, which is probably a big reason why the film did not get the kind of pre-sales that were expected. Nevertheless, Ustad Bhagat Singh is expected to record a solid opening day on his home ground. If it succeeds in impressing the audience with its content, the film will see an immediate increase in sales over the weekend.
