Kauri Richins, the self-published author of grief-stricken children’s book Are You With Me, was convicted of the aggravated murder of her husband, whom she poisoned with fentanyl. Her husband Eric Richins was murdered in March 2022, and Kauri Richins published the book a year later. He put five times the lethal dose of fentanyl in her cocktail. The jury deliberated for three hours and returned its verdict.Richins, a real estate agent, was deep in debt and wanted to leave her husband, but did not do so because of money, prosecutors said.
