Thalapathy Vijay’s Jan NayganWhat was supposed to be the ultimate celebration for fans continues to run into obstacles. With the film’s theatrical release still uncertain, the latest blow comes in the form of reports suggesting that Amazon Prime Video has canceled its OTT deal for the film.
According to multiple media reports, Amazon Prime Video has withdrawn its post-theatrical streaming deal for the film due to uncertainty over the film’s release timeline. The streaming platform had initially acquired the digital rights for around Rs 120 crore. However, the deal is said to have now been canceled as there is still no clarity on when the film will get certification and hit the theatres.

The delay is reportedly due to issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which has not yet given its censor certificate to the film. According to reports, the board objected to some scenes which were considered sensitive. The film has now been sent to the revising committee of CBFC.
A screening for the review committee was reportedly scheduled for March 9, but was canceled at the last minute due to a committee member falling ill, further delaying the review process.
Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, Jan Naygan It stars Mamita Baiju, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani and Narayan in lead roles along with Vijay.
The big-budget project has reportedly faced several hurdles since its originally planned release on January 9. With the certification process still pending, the film’s theatrical release date remains uncertain.
