In this interview, the senior director was asked about the ending of this film. The question refers to the scene where Sahir Khan talks about his friend Billu, but he leaves the programme. When fans said that the emotions portrayed were not conveyed to the audience, the director admitted that since there were too many songs in the film, the script was compromised.

"I made only one mistake in the film. I included a lot of songs which I shouldn’t have included. So, the script became a little loose,” said Priyadarshan. He told that this was one of the most hair-raising situations of Indian cinema, but it did not happen as expected.
