Shweta Tiwari’s daughter Palak Tiwari is following in her mother’s footsteps. In a recent interview with India Today.in, she spoke about her legacy, where she revealed that she would like to see her daughter Palak receive awards.

In a conversation with India Today.in, we asked Shweta what kind of legacy she wants to leave behind. To this, she said, “Honestly, it never crossed my mind what kind of legacy I want to leave behind. Usually people plan for the next ten years of their life and if I go by that, then in the next ten years, my dream is to see my daughter Palak win the Best Actress award.

The ‘Indian Police Force’ actor further added, “I see him going on stage and receiving awards. I want to sit there and I know I will be teary eyed when I see him winning the award. That will really be the most fulfilling feeling for me. Also, I want to live a life in the next ten years where I am sitting peacefully in my house, not worrying about EMIs or bills. I want to live in that ease and peace.”

She added, “And as far as legacy is concerned, I just want people to remember that there was a woman who had two children who was very successful. I want to set an example for people that a woman can successfully handle both her children and her career.”

“Palak and I are both earning right now. She has a dream and she is working hard towards it. I am someone who doesn’t take my work lightly at all and that’s probably why producers want to work with me. I don’t care if I am doing a small role in Rohit Shetty’s project or if I am doing a daily soap that revolves entirely around me. All I know is that I will do anything and everything that excites me and that’s why I even ventured into theatre.

Shweta said that screentime doesn’t matter to her as she is passionate about her work. “If working with Rohit Shetty despite less screen time makes me happy, I will go ahead and do it. I am passionate about my work and whether it is big or small, whatever motivates me, I will do it regardless of all other factors. That is what I tell my daughter Palak as well. She has her own journey and she has seen her mother work very hard and so she knows what this industry expects from her,” she said.

Shweta further added how important it is for women to work and build their careers. She said, “It is very important for all women to be financially secure and independent at the same time. It is important for women to know how to manage their money, because if you are adept at this art, you can take good care of not only yourself but also your family.”

Shweta Tiwari played an important role in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Indian Police Force’. She was accompanied by Siddharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, Shilpa Shetty, Sharad Kelkar, Nikitin Dheer and other actors in this show.
