Love, star power and security concerns have come together for Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, who have confirmed that their wedding reception in Hyderabad on March 4 will be completely invite-only.
In an official statement, the newlywed couple announced that the decision was taken after consultation with local police authorities, who advised tight security and crowd-control measures in view of the huge public attention surrounding the ceremonies. The note reads, “Virosh wedding reception will remain a strictly invitation-only event. Fans and guests are requested to support the safety measures.”

According to the statement, the wedding has generated immense love and curiosity from across the country, becoming one of the most talked-about celebrity events in recent times. The reception was originally planned as a select gathering of film personalities from the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada industries along with some political and administrative dignitaries.
However, officials later recommended further cutting the guest list to avoid overcrowding, traffic disruption and potential security concerns that often accompany high-profile events. The couple clarified that the decision was taken jointly by the police, event organizers and the families involved.

The wedding was held in Udaipur earlier this week in an intimate ceremony attended by only close family members and a few friends from the film industry. Despite the scale of their stardom, the couple decided to keep the wedding private and private.
The festivities lasted for several days and included two separate ceremonies – one rooted in Telugu traditions to honor Vijay’s family, and the other following Kodava customs, reflecting Rashmika’s Coorg heritage.
After returning to Hyderabad, the couple briefly welcomed the paparazzi outside their residence and distributed sweets. He also visited the city’s Tirumala Tirupati temple to seek blessings, with scenes from the visit widely circulated online.
