Tripti Dimri is a well-known name in the Hindi film industry today. She won the hearts of the audience with her brilliant performance in the blockbuster film Animal. Tripti Dimri made her debut with the 2017 comedy film Poster Boys. It was an official remake of the Marathi film Poster Boys. The film is inspired by a real incident when the faces of three men were found on sterilization posters. Tripti played Shreyas Talpade’s girlfriend in the film. However, the actress was slightly overlooked due to the big star cast in the film.

2. Laila Majnu

This was the first film in which Tripti played a romantic lead role. The film failed to bring audiences to the theatres. However, it gained recognition later and people loved Avinash and Tripti’s chemistry, the soundtrack and the story.

The film is based on the classical folk song Laila Majnu, which has been given a modern-day twist to keep pace with contemporary times. Popular singers like Arijit Singh, Atif Aslam, Shreya Ghoshal and others have lent their voices to the music album of Laila Majnu. In an interview with ETimes, Tripti said that she was saddened by the cold response of the audience to Laila Majnu.

Tripti also received praise for her role in Bulbul. Notably, Amit Trivedi took charge of the film’s music album. Apart from this, Rahul Bose played a double role in the film. It should be noted that this was the second pairing of Tripti and Avinash after Laila Majnu.

Kala is a musical saga written and directed by Anvita Dutt. Starring Tripti and Babil Khan in lead roles, the film is set in the 1940s and tells the story of aspiring singer Kala Manjushree and her sweet-bitter relationship with her mother Urmila (played by Swastika Mukherjee).

This musical tale won everyone’s heart with its soulful, old-time music. The music of the film was composed by Amit Trivedi and the lyrics were written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, Swanand Kirkire, Varun Grover and Kausar Munir.

Animal was one of the most talked-about films of 2023. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri, the film received mixed reviews from critics but did really well at the box office.

The audience also praised Tripti’s acting and she got the title of ‘National Crush’. The score of Animal was composed by Harshvardhan Rameshwar while the music album was composed by Pritam, AR Rahman, Ajay-Atul and others.

The film is now available to watch on Netflix.

Needless to say, Tripti Dimri is one of the rising stars of Bollywood. Next, the 30-year-old actress will be seen in the film Bad News, which also stars Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk in pivotal roles. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film will release on July 19, 2024.

Apart from this, Tripti Dimri is also working with Kartik Aryan and Vidya Balan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. This will be her first collaboration with Kartik and Vidya.
