Honor will officially introduce the Honor Magic V6 at MWC on March 1. While the phone is still under wraps, the company decided to take a look at the work it’s done to make its latest flagship foldable.

The V6 will be given IP68 and IP69 ratings. There are IPX9-rated devices already on the market (the Magic V5 is one of them), pay attention to the first digit – “6” indicates that the phone is dust-resistant. Almost every other foldable on the market only has a “5” rating for dust protection (ie 5 means some dust can get in but won’t damage the device, 6 means no dust will get in).
Honor is also promoting Advanced Display Protection, which brings a reinforced internal screen with higher wear resistance and support for Ultra Thin Glass (UTG). On top of this, Honor says there are low-reflection coatings that achieve an industry-leading reflection rate of 1.5%.

The Magic V6 is designed with the Honor Super Steel Hinge – made from the strongest commercially available steel that promises top structural integrity.
And to illustrate its point, Honor sent Joe Weller to Thailand to go ziplining with the Magic V6 – no, not in his pocket, the phone was actually used to connect him to the zipline.

We will have to wait for Sunday for complete information about Honor Magic V6. By the way, Honor will also bring MagicPad 4 tablet and MagicBook Pro 14 laptop at the event. Apart from the robot phone, a humanoid robot will also be shown in it.
