Sharing how she has evolved over the years, Sunita reflected on the challenges she has faced in her personal life. She said, “Many people took advantage of my innocence. I endured a lot, but not anymore. I have created my own identity now. I will always be emotional because a relationship of 40 years doesn’t break overnight. But I have become strong-hearted.”

She also encouraged women to stand up for themselves and not remain silent out of fear. “I always speak the truth. I tell every woman to fight for her rights. I used to remain silent when my in-laws were around because I loved and respected them so much. But now Govinda and I are friends, so why should I just listen to them or live in fear?” He added.

When asked if she would forgive Govinda amid cheating allegations, Sunita replied with cautious optimism. “U never know. He is my childhood love. If he changes and lives his life according to what I believe is right, I will forgive him.”

Talking about the current phase of her life, she said, “I don’t want to hear everything in the news. This is not the age where I can handle this kind of stress, I am going through menopause. At this time, you need your husband and children to support you and not put pressure on you.”

Addressing whether she felt disappointed, Sunita admitted that viewpoints may differ. “She should have her own views too. I believe this cannot go on forever. After all, when one grows older, one’s wife and children are the only ones who stand by one’s side.”

He also shared that efforts to communicate openly do not always lead to clarity. He said, “I have said everything indirectly and directly – even a hint is enough for a sensible person.”

Sunita and Govinda, who married in 1987, have two children – daughter Tina. and son Yashvardhan.
