Suriya and actress Mamita Baiju are set to star together in the upcoming film, tentatively titled Suriya46. In a recent appearance, the actress remembered her co-star’s sweet behaviour, which she said meant a lot to her.

Speaking at the JFW Awards event, Mamita Baiju talked about her experience working with Suriya. She said, “Suriya sir and I had a great time shooting for Suriya46. He always has this special coffee, which is incredibly good. I used to quietly ask his assistants what exactly he was drinking.”
He further added, “As soon as he found out, he made sure I got the same coffee every day until the shooting was over. It was a small gesture from him, but it meant a lot to me.”
For those unaware, Suriya46 is an upcoming romantic drama starring Suriya and Mameetha Baiju in the lead roles. The film, directed by Venky Atluri, is said to be based on a love story between two individuals with a huge age difference.
Along with Raveena Tandon in an important role, Radhika Sarathkumar will also be seen in an important role in the film. Earlier there were rumors that the film would be titled Vishwanathan & Sons; However, an official announcement has not been made yet.
Although the official release date has not been announced yet, the film is expected to release in theaters in July or August 2026 after Karuppu releases on the big screen.
Surya and Mamita Baiju’s workfront
Surya is waiting for the release of his next film Karuppu. Directed by RJ Balaji, the upcoming fantasy action film tells the story of a lawyer who gets possessed by a deity and fights against the injustice faced by certain sections of the society.
Along with Trisha Krishnan in the co-lead role, the film will also star Indrans, Naty Subramaniam, Swasika and Sivadha in lead roles. It is expected to be released in April this year.
Looking ahead, Suriya also has a film tentatively titled Suriya47. The action-comedy film will star Nazriya Nazim in the co-lead role, with Neslen playing the lead role.
Meanwhile, Mamita Baiju is awaiting the release of Vijay starrer Jana Nayakan. Additionally, she has films like Kaara and Iranadu Vaanam awaiting release and is currently shooting for Bethlehem Kudumba Unit co-starring Nivin Pauly.
