Vadh 2 starring two senior actors Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta in lead roles is doing well at the box office. Although the collections are on the low side, it is still commendable for a film like this with no star value. The film grossed approximately Rs. 20 lakh earlier on Wednesday, a decline of about 10 per cent compared to Monday.
Directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vadh 2 collected its 6-day collection of Rs. 2.85 crore nett. The crime thriller opened its opening week at Rs. But she wants to stop. To dismiss its existence outright is short-sighted. Moreover, at a time when the industry suffers from a lack of releases for several weeks a year, it is counterproductive to discourage films that get at least some audience. Beyond the box office math, filmmaking is fundamentally an art, and the idea of suppressing films simply because they don’t attract mass audiences is deeply flawed.
