Actor Govinda has recently opened up about the confrontation that took place at his Mumbai residence, where a group of over 20 people attempted to enter his house late at night. Govinda broke his silence on the incident

In an interview with a news agency ANIGovinda told that he saw 22-23 people coming towards his house. Describing his initial reaction to the unusual activity, he said, “At first I thought they were here for a party, but they did not seem to be party people. So I filmed them.” The actor said he tried to contact the local police for help, but when the Mumbai Police did not respond, he called the police from another country to stay on the line.

As the situation escalated, a man climbed onto the roof, Govinda informed his contacts and took out his licensed gun. He faced the group and asked, “Who are you?”

The group was silent until someone claimed, “We’re here to fix the power system.” Dissatisfied and seeing them lingering, Govinda points his gun and asks them to leave, causing them to disperse.

Reflecting on the incident, Govinda said that he did not try to find out who the intruders were. He said, “It’s a waste of time. People spend their energy thinking about all this.” He stressed that an actor should focus on his work and not react to every situation.

Earlier, in an interview with the news agency, his manager, Shashi Sinha said, shared details Without telling about the incident when it actually occurred. He said, “Thank God that the day he was attacked, he had a gun. He made everyone run away. Otherwise God knows what would have happened to him. In October 2024, Govinda was hospitalized after he was accidentally shot in the leg while cleaning his gun. Authorities have not confirmed whether this is related to the recent incident.
