Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, is scheduled to release in theaters on April 2, 2026. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film is set to serve as the concluding chapter of the franchise, and actress Asha Sarath has now revealed more about it.
Drishyam 3 actress Asha Sarath reveals what to expect from the Mohanlal starrer
Speaking to Club FM, Asha Sarath was asked if Drishyam 3 will have the same climax as the first and second installments. He said, “Of course. We should all be shocked by it, right? It’s the kind of movie that makes us sit on the edge of our seats.”
The actress further said that completing the film made her happy with the end result, which the audience will know only upon its release. He also clarified that, like always, the film will create excitement among the audience.

Drishyam 3 is the upcoming installment of the crime thriller franchise directed by Jeethu Joseph. The original film tells the story of Georgekutty, a middle-class man who lives a simple life with his wife and daughters.
Their lives take a drastic turn when Georgekutty and his family come under suspicion after Geeta Prabhakar’s son Varun Prabhakar goes missing. With several clues pointing towards Georgekutty’s involvement, the film traces the truth and how the family conducts an intensive investigation.
The sequel, released in 2021, continued the story by exploring new dimensions of the story. With the third installment, the franchise is expected to delve into another chapter of the family’s life.
Apart from Mohanlal, the third film will see Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sarath, Murali Gopi, Siddique and many others reprising their previous roles. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on April 2, 2026.
In an earlier interview, Jeethu Joseph had talked about concluding the franchise with the third installment.
Mohanlal’s upcoming movies
Mohanlal is currently filming L366. Directed by Tharun Murthy, the police comedy-action film will see the superstar playing the role of a police officer named TS Lovelljaan.
Apart from Drishyam, Leighton will also play a key role in Mammootty-starrer Patriot, which is scheduled to release on April 23, 2026.
